ABOUT
The Gulf Harbour Community Trust (GHCT) has been established with the mission of protecting and maintaining the green spaces of the former Gulf Harbour Country Club (GHCC).
The Trust comprises of a core leadership team which provides planning, support and resourcing to a group of dedicated local residents referred to as Patrons. Patrons are generally, but not exclusively, owners or residents of properties that border the GHCC that have shown a particularly stong interest in maintaining the course green spaces. Patrons typically take stewardship of a particular hole or area of the course and work to maintain and improve that area of the course. The Patrons are backed up by volunteers from the wider community who enthusiatically attend monthly Volunteer Day's on the course.
Typical work that the Trust's Patrons and volunteers carry out on the course include:
- Mowing of fairways and rough
- Pest Plant identification and removal
- Weed and Pest Plant spraying
- Painting over grafitti
- Picking up rubbish
